A bistro specialised in natural wines

Cheri BiBi is located in Bibi area in Biarritz, a lovely town faced on Atlantic ocean in French Basque.

BiBi area is a small bistrot near Cotes des Basques beach, which is well know by surfers.

We had a lovely lunch at Cheri Bibi with our children.

We sat on a small and 80's-ish design tables and looked at the black board to choose the menu.

The menu has two options; 2 full menu (starter + main + desert) and 2 half menu (1 plate of starter or main + desert).

Lunch menu was light, summery taste with Basque twist in August. All the plates are not too big, just a perfect size for us .

Their wine list is very colourful and enjoyable.

Many of them are Natural wines from France (+ Spain) and some organic wines and some of Lutte Raisonee.

In the evening, we sat down out side with a glass of Juraçon watching people walking by. The evening food menu was tapas style - selected delicatessens and lovely meal (small portions).

A lovely spot in quiet area in Biarritz.

Boutique hotel in Porreras, Priorat

Where?

4km fro Porrera village towards Falset in Priorat, Catalonia.

Priorat is one of the most well known wine region in Spain. There are about 16 producers in Porrera village and majority of them are family owned and operated.

What is like? - Nature, Km0

Following a small sign on the main road, we drove up about 5 minutes to arrive the hotel, which is surrounded by woods of pine trees and old vineyards.

Only 5 bedrooms in the hotel. Two of them are in the main house and three are in separated house.

The hotel is run by Gemma and her husband. Their son is also involved to the business, but Gemma looks after mainly the place.

There is a small swimming pool, its clean system is naturally sustained. No salt, cloro or other chemical product are applied into the pool. Water was not too cold or hot. Without smell. Only beautiful dragon flies are flying over the surface and many beautiful flowers are waving.

Gemma offered lovely dinner and breakfast (in advanced booking is required); on table there are vegetables and fruit grown in hotel's garden and all the food are homemade.

All the amenity of the rooms "Nina Priorat" is their original brand and made with products in garden, such as olive oil, almond and hazelnut.

Tranquility, relax and local atmosphere - A wonderful spot to stay in and discover world famous wine region in Spain.
